I still wanted to experiment with sound today, so I processed 4 sampled electric piano tracks. It’s a little raw, but I used about 5-6 instances of Supatrigga, compression on each track, some Logic delay on two tracks, and ended up with this. Another thing that I did was change the attack time on the samplers so that some sounds faded in. This is a great trick to transform the sound since we identify so many things based on their attack (the first thing we hear).
 
These tracks I’ve been doing have also been attempts to add some subtle rhythm and syncopation into the music I’m writing without using drums. I imagine that in the future, I’ll be able to listen to these experiments and hear elements of a sound I am trying to get to.
