078 – Steady


 
This is a piece called “Steady” and was created for the 11th Disquiet Junto project. Our assignment was to create a piece using a field recording of a rhythmical sound from everyday life. All of the sounds are sourced from electronics that I have. The main sound that you hear is my wireless router. That sound is pretty much unedited. I recorded everything using an induction coil (sometimes called a telephone coil) pickup. I also used tones and sounds from my laptop and an alarm clock. I processed the laptop tone using a plugin called North Pole by Prosoniq and used KT Granulator on the alarm clock sound to generate the pads.
