056 – Fire Department

One interesting thing that I sometimes forget about Benjamin Franklin is that he conceived the notion of the modern Fire Department. This week for the Disquiet Junto, we had an assignment – use an audio clip containing an excerpt from Franklin’s autobiography to create some sounds. I chose a sentence relating to his paper on fire prevention.

This piece was created by extracting pieces of that sentence and loading them into Forester, an application by Leafcutter John. After creating some mayhem with this, I took my favorite bits and arranged them somewhat in Logic Pro. This is probably the noisiest, most experimental thing I’ve done for the Junto.

*This piece is a sound experiment, mainly for fun, and should not be taken seriously* I enjoy contributing to the Disquiet Junto because I can experiment with sound in an encouraging community.
