016 – Tulip Timelapse

A friend gave my wife Rosalie and I some tulips.  We noticed that they moved around in the vase dramatically when we first got them, so I thought it would be an interesting project to do a timelapse of these flowers.  It’s amazing to me how these little things keep growing even after they are cut.  This was recorded in a span of 3 hours using my iPhone and the Timelapse app with some editing in Final Cut on my Mac.  The phone took a picture every 30 seconds. The song I used is a part of my song called “Waiting” which is on my self-released album of the same name (available as a free download here).
I wasn’t sure how long it would take to get some movement and if I do this again, I will record for a much longer timespan. This will be worth revisiting soon.
