318 – Shifting

I played guitar tonight and this is a sampling of it. I recently got a cheap Behringer pitch shifting pedal to experiment with and put it first in the pedal chain, before the volume pedal. Mainly, I wanted to play around with lowering/raising the pitch 1 or 2 octaves, layering it as a drone. I’m pretty happy with the results. Now, I know Behringer gets some flack for being cheap, but I think they have some halfway decent things like this pedal (US600), Slow Motion pedal, patch bay, and their cable tester. The signal chain also included my MXR delay and the El Capistan for looping duties. This was a successful experiment and I plan on trying the pitch shifter with other instruments.
