Today I focused on the DFX plugin called Transverb. This is another free plugin made by a member of the Smartelectronix team. This plugin is less like a reverb and more like a tape delay. I also employed the DFX plugin called Skidder while playing with this. The keyboard sound is a sampled Rhodes. What I like about the Transverb plugin is the atonal, pitch-shifting that you can get out it. You can also hit a button to randomize the settings, which really makes for some interesting sounds. I’ve been moving more and more towards using chance in my music, so it’s nice to find that element in a plugin.
