148 – Seasonal Impressions


 
In the latest Junto project (the 21st) we had to either use 4 provided samples or use our own to represent the 4 seasons. I decided to use this project as an opportunity to explore some of my field recordings.
 
Spring comes first. It is a field recording of a thunderstorm.
 
Summer is next, featuring crickets and children playing.
 
Autumn makes use of a short field recording I made while walking in the leaves.
 
Finally, Winter is represented by a recording I made walking a dog in the snow.
 
All recordings are present during the piece, EQ’d and mixed together. I also used 4 pictures I took for the artwork.
