137 – Ukulele Modification

Today, I installed an end-pin jack into my ukulele. After my acoustic guitar pickup installation, I felt much more comfortable doing this. Drilling holes in your beloved instruments is probably the most nerve racking part. I’m waiting to permanently install the piezo to the inside of the ukulele and acoustic guitar (using hot glue). For now both instruments have the pickups mounted using tape until I decide on the best placement/sound. The next DIY project I undertake will probably involve installing a pickup in my lapharp.
