126 – Sounds of the Floor

This is a recording of the wood floor in my apartment. There are some loud creaks in one spot and I wanted to capture that with two contact mics. I also rolled an office chair around and it added another element to the sound. The sound you hear in this recording is completely dry with no effects. It might be fun to use this in a piece later on, with some effects and things. Contact mics are simple but I am still surprised at the sounds they pick up. I recommend listening to this one with headphones if you can.
