114 – Before Ground


 
This was created for the 16th Disquiet Junto Project. I took a week off from doing it and it was the first one that I missed. Now that I’ve had some time to reflect, I was excited to get back to doing something for the Junto.
 
This week’s project had us using a sample of dice and another of sandpaper. One had to be placed into the background and one into the foreground of the piece.
 
The dice sound was slowed down and turned into the breathy sound in the foreground. The sandpaper sound was chopped up and granulated, panned, and phased into the background sound. I also added some electric piano sounds to this piece.
