There are many different setting that you can change in importing RAW files into PS. Another thing to try would be to draw in the resulting image, to change the sound data in it’s visual format, then re-save and open as an MP3 to hear the effect. The reverse process is frequently used, where a data file will be opened in Audacity (open source audio editor), processed using audio effects, then resaved as its original format (MOV -> RAW a-Law + effects -> MOV again). Try it out!
